  • Xanga sucks. I live for showing pictures, and I can't, lol!! I did have a great weekend. Annie was absolutely beautiful. I said to Steve after they left that she was the most stunning one of the group. He smiled and said that he thought so too, but figured it was the way all the fathers felt. I suppose he's right and I'm thinking like a mom, but I'm pretty sure she looked like a movie star.

Father's Day was fairly boring. For whatever reason, Steve decided to clean the gutters, sweep the driveway, change the muffler on the truck and I forget what all else. Scott told him that he didn't think he should be working so on his special day, lol. Steve told him that because it was his day he could do what he most felt like, and that was getting those jobs done. Silly silly man. On Mother's Day, I don't lift a finger all the day long. That is what I feel most like doing.

We've gone from a heat wave to cloudy with showers forecast for today, and the rest of the week. It figures, as we are going camping on Friday.  We took in two little ones on Wed. because we were told it was to be for a day or two, until a home could be found that could take all the siblings together. I wonder if we'll be taking them camping with us, or if a home will have been found by then.

  • This is a very big day in our house. Annie's prom is tonight. She is off right now, getting all the last minute details attended to. I hope hope hope that the xanga gods will decide to let me add images by tonight, as I will have a ton of pics that I'll want to share.

  • Nora, I didn't add anything at all that should be trying to load when you visit. First off, I hate that crap, and second, I am way too unknowledgeable to even think of doing something like that! Kellie, I'm glad I could make you laugh. Even if you were laughing at my pain. That's ok. Go ahead. I'd do the same thing, lol!

Still no freaking pictures. Pisses me off.

  • Let's see if today will be the day I can again add a picture. I've been trying since Saturday. Yes, I have premium. I've been posting pictures with no problem up to the 6th. At least I'm ASSuming I still have it. Do you receive notice when it is expiring? I can't remember when it was I first signed up for that. Does anyone know how I find out if it has expired?? You'd think with the way the Xanga powers have been pushing people to sign up for premium, they would certainly send a out renewal notice.

    Fuckaduck, still not working.

  • Well hell, Xanga still won't let me add an image.  Is it working for everyone but me??

  • I am trying to add an image to that entry, but for whatever reason it isn't working. I'll try again later.

  • My little girl became a grown up today. She graduated from high school. The ceremony was beautiful. It opened with a slide show. The kids had all taken in pictures of themselves growing up, and someone had put it all together with music. I bawled throughout that part. It was such fun to see the little faces I remembered. The faces that had some how changed from adorable babies to honest to goodness adults. The faces of the kids who have grown up as part of my daughters life. The kids I remember from kindergarten, from church, from the skating rink, from the ball park.

Annie was very emotional. She has been anticipating this day with mixed feelings. She is not glad this part of her life is over. She has loved every moment of her school career. For her, school was always a time to socialize. She was lucky enough to have a huge circle of friends, and she knows people will start moving away, for further schooling and for job opportunities. I know this is just the beginning for her, not an ending. She has so much open to her, so much she will do in her life.

I love you Annie, and I'm very proud of you.

Today my heart has broken. An online friend has lost the baby she has been waiting 39 weeks to meet. A baby much loved and much wanted. There may be no answers to why such horrible things happen, but Brooke, I hope you know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of us all.

  • Tonight we took Annie to have her grad portraits done. This is her favourite of her alone.

We took her friend Emily with us. They have been best friends since they met at Brownies when they were six years old.

  • The camping trip was a big success. The weather was perfect, although our spot was nestled in amongst the forest which meant it was shaded and cool. Our time on the beach was like heaven. The beach shots haven't been developed yet, but I do have some of the trip.

We bought new foam for the bunks. Steve decided we needed the thickest foam out there. Once we put it into Div's bunk, there was about a foot left between the bed and the roof, lol! Here is a picture of Div in bed.

Here are the three boys at the playground.

This was taken last week, at the petting zoo.
