  • My little girl became a grown up today. She graduated from high school. The ceremony was beautiful. It opened with a slide show. The kids had all taken in pictures of themselves growing up, and someone had put it all together with music. I bawled throughout that part. It was such fun to see the little faces I remembered. The faces that had some how changed from adorable babies to honest to goodness adults. The faces of the kids who have grown up as part of my daughters life. The kids I remember from kindergarten, from church, from the skating rink, from the ball park.

Annie was very emotional. She has been anticipating this day with mixed feelings. She is not glad this part of her life is over. She has loved every moment of her school career. For her, school was always a time to socialize. She was lucky enough to have a huge circle of friends, and she knows people will start moving away, for further schooling and for job opportunities. I know this is just the beginning for her, not an ending. She has so much open to her, so much she will do in her life.

I love you Annie, and I'm very proud of you.
