  • Today my #1 son is on the island. He arrived here last night. We are hoping to meet up with him. I say hoping, because in typical military fashion, he isn't sure where he'll be on which days, or when he'll have a bit of free time. TG the island isn't that big! He only has to call and say he has a couple hours, and we'll all hop in the van and hope to get to him before they head out again, lol.

I knew they were arriving last night. I was out at a meeting, and didn't get in until 9:30 p.m. So what did I dream last night? I arrived home from my meeting, and there was Kevin, sitting in the living room. Wait, not only Kevin, but his entire company, or whatever it's called. There were dozens and dozens of them, in various rooms of the house. I was kind of choked at him, because I could not get any private time with him. At the same time, I was trying to be understanding cause I know how he brags about what a beautiful city we live in, and he just wanted to show it off to his friends!

On that note, I am glad that the torrential rains of the past week have finally stopped. He brags to the guys about the weather here, and they have snow in Edmonton. He told me that it didn't matter if it was raining, it would still be nicer than it was in Edmonton. Today is beautiful with clear blue skys and bright sunshine. Makes it much nicer when you are outdoors training.

Thanks for the words about my last post.  I KNOW the person I was speaking of will be ok, but I can't help but worry about her in the mean time.

Now I'm off to our Parent/Student/Teacher interview for Scott. Nothing to worry about there, as he is such a smart kid and a hard worker. I have to enjoy this while it lasts. Cause with two who have already graduated, I am well aware that his dedication to learning may not be quite as strong in years to come as it is now, in Grade 5.

    Happy 90th Birthday Grandma!!!
