• We had an awesome Canada Day! Kevin and Heather flew in, and are here for the month of July. God I miss that kid when he isn't at home. Thinking back to those tough years when he was a young teen, I can recall looking forward to the time when he was on his own. Now I wish he at least lived in the same province.  He had many interesting tales to tell of his time in Kananaskis. He was surprised at how fixated I was in the ziplock bag details.

  
  

  The plan is we leave Friday for the lake, to stay until the 14th. I say it is the plan, not a done deal, because the two little ones we have are still with us. They were to have gone home two weeks ago. Court is tomorrow, and the last I heard from the social worker, they were returning then. I have learned not to count on anything until it actually happens. If they are still with us, we will not be able to go as they are visiting their family every day. Please keep your fingers crossed that things work out for the best, whichever that may be.
